I have internet explorer 6 and Windows Me. Some time ago I switched from Microsoft Java Virtual Machine to Sun Java Runtime Environment 2 as I could not see certain web pages. I now find I have the same trouble, particularly when I access chatrooms ie on Bravenet and the Tiscali. I can't see all the relevant buttons. Especially on Bravenet I now people are using them butI seem to be the only one there. Sometimes in normal surfing the WP freezes and when Java console comes up and tries to download the type of Java I need. Today on cnet.com I notice there is new a Microsoft Java virtual machine download 7/3/02. Would I be better switching from Sun Java to this? If I do should I get rid of Java first? Or can I have both at the same time? What should my settings be in Internet Explorer for Java to run properly? I've tried re-downloading Java program I originally downloaded but WP freezes. Thanks.

Even I had similar problems but after I removed it and reinstalled it working alright. First remove using add/remove program in control panel. Clean up the registry using MS regclean.
