I wanted to know if Windows Me plays games better that Windows 2000. Games like Half Life, Tomb Raider 3, NBA Live 99, etc. Would they work on Windows 2000. Thanks

Some will work others won't. If you want a machine for games, Me is better. The next version of windows, Whistler, should give you the best of both.

The only game I can tell you that will definitely work out of the ones you mention is Half-LIfe.
I find it hard to believe that Whistler ( which looks like it will be more like a service pack for Windows 2000) will add support for games that the OS it is supposed to replace.Which you use will have to depend more on the hardware you have and the things you want to do with it.

Since I installed DirctX8 in Win2000, Ihave yet to find a game that does not work. With Dx7, only about half my games worked in w2k. I have now switched completly to w2k (from a dual boot w2k/ME). Win2000 is alot more stable than ME. If a game crashes in w2k (if ever), simply restart the game, while in ME you need to restart the computer. Try W2k with Dx8!

If you want a crappy computer that sucks get ME. If you want a computer that functions get 2k NT, or 95.

So you believe that 95 is better than ME? Well, if I should choose an OS for gameing it would be 98 but if I should choose one for using, I would go for 2000 or ME depending on how much power your computer have got.
I myself am running ME at the moment and I like it very much. But that could be because I'm quite into digital editing of movies and ME is good at multimedia. Lots better than 98 anyway.
Just my thoughts.
