Could someone please help? I recently open a email containig a virus. Since then once Windows ME starts, I go to run a application for example Word, and it comes up with winword.exe is not a valid application. This happens with all the applications that run using Windows. Could someone please help me?

It sounds like the virus may have messed with your registry. Did you check the discription to see if it would do that and what to do if it does? You could try doing an install in place of Windows and/or repair of the programs but I'd look into the registry question first.

Try to Restore back beyond the time of the virus.
