Is DSL incompatible with Windows Me?

Specs: Windows ME
How do I get AT&T dsl working on Windows ME Operating System? When the wizard runs a computer diagnostic, it says that the computer's operating system does not meet the minimum requirements.

You need to use a Router attached to the DSL Modem, then use a Ethernet cable to the Win ME PC, if it does not have a Network Interface Card you will need to buy one..

If it's the AT&T software you're trying to run, then don't. They state minimum requirements as being Win2K/XP/Vista/7, but I've had both WfWG 3.11 and a Win95 machine on their DSL before. I didn't run the AT&T software and just set up a network connection...

All operating systems since Windows 3.x support TCP/IP, which is all you need.

Plug in your router, then connect the ethernet wire from your router to the ethernet card in the back of your PC. No need to upgrade OS.
