Someone please help, i have tried everything ican think of. Windows sets up my video card, network card, and sound card on the same IRQ. I can't get my bios to manual change the IRQ numbers, it only allows me to choose ISA or PCI. I tried to change my vid card in safe mode, then no reboot. I even rearanged cards (this actually changed the IRQ, but still all on the same). This is slowing my net connection down and won't let me capture vide. Please help ;)

Acctually it is better to let WinME manage your IRQ ports. It is because your machine is ACPI compliant. WinME takes advantage of the ACPI and configures IRQ by sharing thereby eliminating the conflicts.
But if you still want to assign IRQs yourself, you must go to bios and disable ACPI.

How do you go to bios to disable, I have No free IRQ's, I want to install a ethernet bd. Appreciate it.New PC with Me.
Summary: I know that WinXP assigns IRQ dynamicly but, but WinME does not. So does the bios assume that work for WinME and If so can a (AUTO)IRQ assign setting in the bios actually assign the wrong IRQ's or not...
Summary: how do i chance the irq so my philips 062 sound card will work .it's on 3 and my video card is on three and the sound card can't share irq.......HELP... I NEED MY MIDI ...
