Internet Explorer tabs won't work

IE won't do anything when I try to use my "File" tab and "Send" page by email or Link by email. I also cannot send pics from "MY Documents" using the "Send to mail receipiant" I have OE 6 and IE 5. Does that matter?

Try a repair of IE;
Go to Control Panel/Add-Remove Programs/and choose to remove IE.You should then be prompted with 3 options,one of which will be to "Repair".
*You say IE5...I take it that's not 5.5,so if you've never upgraded from 5.0,an instance of IE may not show up in Control Panel.If that's the case,I strongly suggest upgrading to at least 5.5SP2.
