The error prevents the preview printing window from appearing on screen. The error window reads:An error has occurred in the script on this page Line 639; char:1; Error:invalid argument Code:0 URL res://C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SHDOCLC.DLL/preview.dlg Reg Svr 32 indicates shdoclc.dll was loaded, but the Dll Register Server entry point was not found. Dll Register Server may not be exported, or a corrupt version of shdoclc.dll may be in memory. We need assistance in detecting the error and removing it. Thank you in advance for assistance.

The shdoclc.dll file is the file that handles the showing of script error messages in IE. It doesn't have anything to do with your problem.

Try these Microsoft Knowledgebase articles:

Cannot Print from Internet Explorer (Q293176)

Error Message When You Attempt to Print a Web Page: An Error Has Occurred in the Script on This Page (Q303486)

Error Message When You Print from Internet Explorer: Printing Error: The Printer Cannot Be Found (Q303360)

I have a problem that look quite similar: I can't open any page in a new window of IE 6!! And even if I try to open a pop up page (connected, of course, to a Javascript) the page will not be loaded.
I tried to load the shdoclc.dll library from the windows start menu, but i get the following error: "shdoclc.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. DllRegisterServer may not be exported, or a corrupt version of shdoclc.dll may be in memory. Consider using PView to detect and remove it."

Could anyone help me, please???!!!!

Thanks in advance!
Ciao! :)

I am having the same problem as Stefano. I use IE6 and am unable to print anything. Also an open new window (Javascript) does not work anymore. My error description in printing is: 'dialogArguments.__IE_PrintType' is null or not an object. Code 0. URL: res://C:\WINNT\System32\shdoclc.dll/preview.dlg.

It seems like replacing the iepeers.dll does not help.

If anyone has another idea please respond!!
Thanks.

Regards,
Anthony

This started tonight. I went to 'Start', 'Settings', 'Control Panel' and the Internet Explorer Script Error Box came up stating: An error has occurred in the xcript on this page. Line 107, Char 21, Error: 'gfolder' is null or not an object, Code 0, URL file //C:\Windows\WEB\controlp.htt.
Can someone tell me what to do to correct this? When it asked if I wanted to continue script I first clicked "NO" and the Control Panel Box was still there but nothing inside. The same thing happens when I click "YES".

In response to inquiry regarding Internet Explorer Script Error---after trying a number of solutions---we, eventually, used a recovery disk for a remedy.
