Hey hey hey:
last year I had a dial up interner conection and I had problems with hang time. It would just sit for 40 second before finaly retreaving a site. Now I have DSL and a new computer!! But just resently...it is now doing the same thing!!! I will click on a site and it will take 30 seconds or so until the page starts loading. Is this a problem with my server or IE. I have a feeling it is my IE because it did the same think before. I did not spend tons of cash per month to wait 30 seconds between each page i surf to to load up? Any Ideas folks??//

While you are waiting, do you see any data going through your modem? I have IE and I don't wait at all for pages to load to I assume it is something with your ISP or modem or network settings.

Reinstall your NIC or modem card. Make sure that you remove the adapters and protocals from your network properties first!!

I have the same hang problem Win Me and IE5.5(SP1). Did not have the problem IE5.0 but it appeared with IE5.5. It will work ok for a couple of time then hang for 30-60 minutes then start working again for a while. Have not changed ISP or hardware. Only upgraded to IE5.5. I am about to reformat and go back the Win98 as it would take less time to reformat than put up with this in its current state.

My explorer hangs with my DSL connection too . Its driving me nuts.. Can someone help me with this? Is it something to do with cache or ram..? No data is being sent when this occurs for 30-60 sec. also outlook will do the same , sometime i notice that if i type the letters come on the screen when they should immeadiately. Is it caching out, is it ram? After clicking on a link the ie globe is spinning but in the left bottom corner it saying done with no blue load bar.. Untill it starts responding again.. Please email me with help if any.. Thx
