I uninstalled Internet Exploror 6 and it popped a message that said it would reinstall the preveus version and then it didn't and it pops up this error message at the restart every time and i'm shut out of the desktop. How do i get into DOS mode from the boot up? What button do i push to get the DOS mode cursor? I do not have a floppy drive installed on my PC. I would like to uninstall this operating system and get a linux operating system but i don't know how to fix everything first.

If you install Linux then the Install CD will have a tool to format the hard drive etc..
