Someone please help me....
I have a brand new Gateway computer, which came with IE 6 capability. I have access to a computer at work which has ie 5.5. Keep in mind, I use yahoo for most all of my e-mails. At work everything works fine on yahoo...signatures, fonts, colors, etc. Here at home, I'm having a minor problem. It may not be much to some, but its driving me crazy. In the signature area of yahoo, you have an option to use colors (for fonts or backgrounds). For some reason this section does not work. The pull down boxes for both color palettes are all white/blank boxes. I can not add colors to my signatures.
I have spoken with yahoo several times and they say that my account is 100% tip top shape. I have spoken with Gateway Service and they say everything looks fine, and can only assume it is an IE 6 problem.
My question is...what is the best way to determine if it is Ie and if it is how should I repair it? And where should I go to repair it?
Thanks so much to everyone who takes the time to read this.Heather

Not sure but i know that when you try to use yahoo's chat.. if the java chat app doesnt load correctly they load a limited/different version so you can chat. Most of the goofy little features dont exist in the limited version.
Maybe.. they have some similar setup for yahoo mail?? The chat problem was a nightmare.. i deleted all the stuff in downloaded programs a couple of times before the right chat software would finally load.
Yahoo chat was for a friend to use.. i dont use it so im not very familiar with it or yahoo mail.
I dont know if this is related to your problem or not.. I only mentioned it because you posted about options not existing+yahoo.

Heather, FWIW, one of the default settings in IE6(applies to OE6 too, since OE6 is part of it) is to prevent downloading an attachment which may contain a virus. That seems to block mail and pictures which were allowed in earlier versions. That feature of 6.0 seems to be causing all manner of problems and the setting can be altered (under security). Not really a bad idea (the setting) so long as we are aware of it. (Their bad).Maybe it is also affecting your signature colors etc? HTH.
