Hi When I print a page while using IE, my connection will drop out after printing is done. Printer is HP2100, IE 5.5. I was using IE 6 but downgraded back to IE 5.5 Have reloaded drivers and tinkered. Still same problem. Any ideas? Thanks Tom C.

The most obvious question: if this happens every time you finish the print job, do you have a setting enabled to diconnect Internet when print job is finshed?

Let's start with some questions: 1. How is the printer hooked up? Is it USB, LPT, or ?? 2. What kind of modem? Is it an internal 56k (dial up)? Is it an external USB of some sort? Is it an external serial (com port) 56k? 3. What kind of connection? DSL, Cable, Dial up? 4. Who is your service provider?

Provider is Worldsurfer.net The more I think about this problem, I wonder whether it might be the modem / driver. About 3 months ago I swapped modems in 2 computers as one would not recognize in Win 2000. I not quite sure exactly when the problem started as I dont print from the net often. Also, it cuts out the same way on IE as well as on Opera. I think I will buy a new modem this week. Tom C.
