Comment: Im using WinMe and an Aztech external modem to connect to the internet. I've already tried connecting to the internet using this setup successfully... but now, after successfully dialing-up my connection, I cant seem to access any sites! I end up with a connection and a browser error. What could be the problem?

Reply: (edit)usually this is at the isp ,you will have to call their tech support to get it taken care of. one thing to check is start-run-type winipcfg ,hit enter and the click more info ,see if dns sever numbers are showing up. you can also try making a new connection ,in dial-up networking, and use all the default settings and see if it will go anywhere to doublecheck it. but most often at the isp level.

Reply: (edit)I found ME to be very flakey at times with trying to connect to my ISP etc but once I had upgraded to IE5.5 (and whilst you are at it upgrade media player 7 as well as this is bloated and unreliable until upgraded) and this solved my problems. I know it sounds like a cop-out but it really did work for me. Good luck.

Reply: (edit)Most likely all you will have to do is Uninstall and reinstall dialup networking from the control panel under add/remove programs and that will fix that data flow problem about 90% of the time, give that a try.
