I just got cable internet installed on a second computer myself last week(@home)via a hub and then the two comps via network card to the hub and the hub to the cable modem
I thought it all worked fine but when i connect to the internet or playing a multiplayer game after 5 or ten minutes there's suddenly a connection problem
It isnt all the time sometimes i have this problem all day and sometimes it works just fine,
and if i do run 'winipcfg' after a connection lost, it reconnects fine again
but then after a couple of minutes: connection problem again.... and so on and on.....
don't know what to do

try going into network properties and ripping out some of the stuff in there ( like tcp/ip, adapters and so on) and then reinstalling them by hitting ADD and going thru there. Doe this happen on your other computer??? If so it very well could be a problem w/ the ISP, maybe they stop giving info to you after a while and somehow doing something w/ winipcfg "wakes" it back up??? I'm not for sure just some suggestions.
