I am having problems with my Internet Connection not connecting to the server im running Blueyonder broadband, I have rung up my ISP but they said it must be a system problem and advised to ring up microsoft.(Great Help) I don't want to spend an hour on the phone again so I thought I would try you guys, Im running Win ME and everything was fine until a couple of days ago when I used hi-jack this for a routine scan to get rid of some ad-ware. Could I have deleted an important file by accident which may have affected it? Any positive help would be a god send!!

There are a number of parasite programs out there that will inhibit internet access so that they can use your bandwidth as a supernode.
There are a couple of these programs, that if you simply disable or uninstall them they will screw up your internet connection.
If one of the programs that was detected on your system was ShopatHome and you simply disabled it, try enabling it once again and go to www.doxdesk.com for instructions on how to get rid of that parasite program. Then, download Spybot S&D and run it faithfully. There are currently around 50 or so Parasite programs that will download themselves without your knowlege and eat up your system resources and bandwith and eventually render your system useless.
