my computer has been hacked,groped,smacked,probed,scanned and otherwise assaulted....how do you cut the file shareing on and off on win ME? i think the file shareing invites these intrusions...my internet explorer has been reconfigured.the default web site is 'PEEP SHOW'. the 2nd and third are STRIP JOINT and GENTLEMENS CLUB... please help stop the rape on my computer

Maybe you should think about installing a firewall . Zonealarm ( freeware ) can do the job . Visit www.zonelabs.com to get a copy . there is also another site where you can find info and examine your pc for open ports : www.grc.com

do you have your homepage listed in your favorites?if so bring it up,open tools internet options,use current as home page.if not open control panel,add remove programs,select internet explorer,choose repair,reboot and sign on with msn.surf to your home page and see above ,tools,etc. clean out your cache files history,etc.dont forget to place your homepage in your favorites for easy access in the future.also keep your anti virus current and apply any critical patches from windows update.good luck and let us know how you made out.
