This is realy tickin me off! =[

Ok i have Windows ME.

And im trying to install a game called Black & White.

And everytime i run the setup.exe it keeps giving me that error!

Please can someone help me out!?

Also it tells me Access Denied with InstallShield Engine [iKernel.exe] could not be installed .

i've the same prob, just wanna install the new gtkradiant (3D - gaming map creator)and he write out "InstallShield Engine [iKernel.exe] could not be installed"
it realy pisses me off :(( *grr..*

i know its not a windows me or windows xp error. i still use win '98 and its first time that this failure comes to me. i never heard of it. is it a new virus? i hate ms if they dont try to fix thoose fu**** bugs :((

I dont know how... but i tryed yet and it works now... ?? i did not do anything... i think its realy just a fu***ing bug of rottn ms :((( or a fault wich is based on to hight ram usage like 96% or so on. try to restart and try install again. and now try to install again and again and again. open other programms try again to install clos other progs and retry to install i think it work... but i dont know why.

Hi im running on winXP and im trying to install a game called EverQuest Trilogy and they give me the same message saying iKernel could not be installed. Can someone please help? its a new com and i dont know whats the problem

ok trying to install a game and it says this:

Error loading Type Library/DLL

i downloaded the new one but it won't let me install because of the same error

I too am having probs with InstallShield.
I have a new M/B and graphics card (Gigabyte GA-7VTXE,KT266A chipset, and Inno3d GeForce2 Ti, 256Mb Ram on M/B) with 4Gb free space.
I get the message:
"the installshield engine(ikernel.exe)could not be launched. Not enough storage is available to process the command."

I have had to trawl down into the directory tree of the driver CD to get the drivers to load, but the GeForce won't work at anything other 640x80 16colour. I have tried both failsafe and optimum config in the BIOS. Has anyone got this combination of kit to work? O/S is W95 BTW, I haven't yet tried it under Linux.
