Guru hates when I do this, so here goes. :)
Microsoft have an article on the Windows CDs on how to reinstall and also on their website. On the ME CD you'll find the excellent article in \addons\document\guide and it's called mqsg (believe it or not). The information you want starts about page 31. On the website, go to http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q255/8/67.asp and http://support.microsoft.com/support/windows/topics/winme/setup/setupht.asp
http://www.windowsreinstall.com/ is also useful
Be very careful you have all your drivers and original disks for all your components and peripherals, or download latest versions before you start.

hi trev, no i dont hate it when you do that. i used to think your first lot of posts were a little long winded but after watching you refer people back to those i can see your logic. good move. i guess i'm a little short and to the point on some answers and don't go into enough explanation sometimes and also if someone has supplied the answer that i would have there's no point in me adding to it. all the best trev and keep up the good work.
