Hi. I just built a new system, that contains an Altos AL-694T mobo, a 1.2ghz Tualatin Celeron, 224 MB of SDRAM, and 4 IDE drives (1 HD, 1 FD, 2 optical). I just ordered a new 300 W PSU, but I already have a 140 W PSU installed (I gutted an HP Vectra). I can power on and boot fine, but whenever I try to install a new OS (I've tried lots of Windows versions, and many Linux flavors...no luck :( ), the setup programs of the respected OS fails, they all generate seemingly random errors. Could this be due to the PSU? If so, I'd like to know, even though I'll be recieving the new one within a week or two. Thanks....

Hi...a friend of mine had similar problems. His problem was caused by a failed cpu chip.
I would check your bios and make sure it has the correct settings for all your hardware. Make sure the cpu settings are correct, cache enabled, and other harddrive, ram amount, display, etc...are correct.
