I recently put Norton anti virus on my computer and now I do not have rundll32.exe, so I can't open jpg or wpd or other types of files. Can someone please tell me where to find this and how to install it, or if there are alternatives? I use my computer for word processing only, so I am a total novice at this kind of stuff. SPECIFIC instructions are needed! Thanks in advance.

Basically what dll means is that you lost your driver to run that particular program. All you have to do is re-install the driver. First thing you do is find your back up disk for installed programs on your computer. If you have a Dell, it should be blue and it will say on the left side of your disk "Antivirus Software." If you dont have a Dell, the disk should just be a backup for programs that came with your computer, it should say something along the lines of "for the re-installation of programs." Get to the part in the installation of you Antivirus where it says that you are missing your run32dll file. insert your back up disk at this point. The computer should prompt you, and give you the option to look for the file. Click the "browse" button on the screen, choose your CD drive, and scroll down till you find a folder that is called WIN9X. double click on that folder to open it, and then click ok. If that doesn't work email me.

Click Start\Run, type msconfig
- On general tab click Extract file
- Type rundll32.exe, click start
- Restore from C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\INSTALL
- save file in C:\WINDOWS.Good Luck
