install a 2.0 usb port on exsiting

I need a 2.0 USB port to recognize my IPOD (I know it needs to be XP for initializing)I have ME with the slower USB ports now. Can I install the 2.0 USB's on my current sytem? Is it expensive?

You'll need a pci usb 2.0 card in order to upgrade to the newer usb 2.0 standard. A hub won't do it.

You still won't be able to install the ipod software unless you have 2000 or above. You don't need XP. Life is more painless for those who are brainless.
