I need a 2.0 USB port to recognize my IPOD (I know it needs to be XP for initializing)I have ME with the slower USB ports now. Can I install the 2.0 USB's on my current sytem? Is it expensive?

You'll need a pci usb 2.0 card in order to upgrade to the newer usb 2.0 standard. A hub won't do it.

You still won't be able to install the ipod software unless you have 2000 or above. You don't need XP.
