hello, i have an Imation FlashGO! USB Flash Memory Card Reader/Writer and have been able to use it fine until i had to reformat my hard drive. Now, i have installed it, and my computer shows it recognises the usb drive as it appears in the "Unplug or eject hardware" icon on the taskbar as a USB disk. The problem is though that "My Computer" will not show this drive as a driver letter and i cant open the drive through "run...e:\". This has really stumped me and would be grateful for any help as there is no way of accessing this drive. thank you very much..

Does it show up in device manager ? If yes the click on the drive and try the update driver tab . When I frist put my PNY 256M.B.USB Thumb Drive, on my Windows Me PC , it did not detect it ,even though USB is suppose to be plug and play , i still had to extract certain USB drivers from the .cab installatuion files ! I believe it was lacking 3 or 4 needed drivers to complete installation when the add new hardware wizard popped up. You can also try vivsiting the manufactuers web site and see if they offer a fix when your type of problem comes up ? There is a good chance others have faced the same prob you are having .Alot of PC with OEM versions of Windows do not have all of the needed drivers installed that come with the O/S ,however they are on your H.D. in the .cab files .Its just a matter of knowing which ones you need and etracting them to the Windows/system/drivers folder !
