Comment: I'm not very literate with computers. I was checking out the amount of space on my D: drive and I seem to be running out of room. My capacity is 2.72GB. Used up space is 2.10, and the amount free is 631 MB. How can I regain space on my D drive. I've deleted all my temporary internet files, deleted all my cookies except for my index of course, did a system scan, clean disk and defrag. Thanks in advance, Barb

Reply: (edit)Is your D drive your OS drive? Normally an Operating System is installed on C. What's the total capacity of your HDD...meaning all partitions? It seems strange, but if your Operating System is installed on D, and that's the only partition you have, then you have two choices. Get rid of some Programs you don't use, or get another hard drive, install it on the system as a Primary Slave, and then you'd have much more space for your data.

Reply: (edit)open Windows Explorer, set the View option to List. Browse to the Drive D and you'll see what files eat a lot of space in your drive D. Try to right-click on a folder and choose Properties and see how much disk space it gets in Drive D. now you'll know why your Drive D is running out of free space. Delete what you think is not important.have a nice day..
