I have the exact same problem. After an electricity power loss i got this message that the ifshlp.sys file is being corrupted. Unfortunately even though i have the boot disk i couldn't do anything. The file has not been replaced and i still can't run the windows. It would be interesting to know if you found a way and which was it...Any other suggestions would be fruitful too. Thanks

i've had the same problem for a long time and the solution below works on my pc. i hope it can work for you.

start you pc and get to c:\ prompt

make a copy of your config.sys file and rename it config1.sys

now restart you pc and get to c:\ prompt

type copy config1.sys config.sys

press ctrl+alt+del

pc will restart & get to c:\ prompt

type c:\windows\
type win

this should get windows working perfectly.

i still havent figured out why this is so but it works. unfortunately you will have to do this each time you restart your pc.
