Try this page http://www.generation.net/~hleboeuf/ermsvcrt.htm or alternatively try scanning with adaware or spybot...

Repair Internet Explorer, run it a while and see if the error goes away. If that doesn't resolve it then try switching MSVCRT.DLLs and install the one in your cab files.

*
But make sure you back the original file up first.
*

You will be given the opportunity to do this during the following procedures, so keep your eye out.

MSKB A 129605 - HOW TO: Extract Original Compressed Windows Files

MSKB A 265371 - HOW TO: Extract and Replace a Protected File in Windows Me

The file goes in c:\windows\system and is extracted from c:\windows\options\install or c:\windows\options\cabs

You can always switch the original file back after , or try downloading the updated Visual C++ Service Pack 6 runtimes (MSVCRT stands for MS Visual C++ Runtimes), but that shouldn't be needed.
