I am running a PIII 933mzh with WindowsME. When trying to open up my Internet Explorer I received an error message "IExplore mshtme.dll" an it shut down. It then booted OK. But it happens quite often. Can anyone help.

Remove IE from add/remove in Control Panel and reinstall it. You could also try MSN Explorer; it is a bit faster than IE but not as flexible.

You can't uninstall Internet Explorer, as it is part of the core of the Windows system - remember the Justice Department :)

Upgrade to Internet Explorer 6.0 by using you windows update If you have already done that, then uninstall it and return to your original IE 5 and then use your windows update on your stsrt menu to reinstall it. Good Luck.

Thanks you all, Rajan, Trev & Tom. I thought I would try the MSN Explorer but I am wondering if it did not work, would I have any problem reinstalling IE 6.
Thanks - Norman

Scan your system with Ad-Aware. You can download it from http://www.lavasoft.de.

I had a similar problem with IE before, and it turned out to be Go!Zilla. I uninstalled it and haven't had a problem since.
