IE Password box Greyed out

In IE6- Tools\Internet options\Connection\ Settings\Properties\Security Tab,- The password entry box has become greyed out for some reason. Hence I can't log on without re-entering my password every time. Can anybody tell me why this may have happened and how I can make it active again. Thanks WestRat

is this a dial-up network connection? if so try deleting and recreating it.

Try ticking the remember password box first and then you should be able to enter your password. Had the same trouble. It looks like the remember password box is greyed out also, but it worked for me.

Leo Thanx. Its not on a network. Deleted network stuff and I seem to have control again touch wood. Do you know if you can edit this control in the registry and if so where? Dog Thanks for reply. This box was also greyed out.Seems ok now though after deleting network stuff
