i was wondering if theres a way to keep the favorties icons in the ie 6.0 favroites windows as their originals. It seems as though they always start out as unique icons for the respective site, but upon restart they convert to the standard blue ie icon.
Is it possible to revert or at least keep the site icons without them changing to the standard ie icon after restarts?

Hi Alex, hello everyone,
The unique icon created when saving a Favorite from some sites is stored in the Temporary Internet Files. When you clear the TIF's the icon reverts to the standard IE icon.
You could save them to a different folder and change the path to the icon. Here is how to do such.
Create a new folder on the computer somewhere like My Documents and name it Favorite Icons.
Go to C:\Windows\Temporary Internet Files and locate the icon.
Right click on the icon and select copy.
Go to the new folder and paste it there.
Open Internet Explorer and your Favorites.
Right click on the Favorite and select Properties.
Click on Change Icon.
Using Browse go to the new folder you created and select the icon.
Now when you clear the TIF's the icons shall remain.
HTH
Best Regards,
Mesich

Or...D/L a program called FavOrg from http://www.pcmag.com/utilities/support.html. This program will do all of the above for you automatically.
