IE 6.0 Down Load Error

Comment:
Cannot finish down load of 6.0 on ME platform. VML (vector graphics rendering)will not install. I do not see any affect on browser (I don't think). Is VML part of virtual machine? Does anyone know what symptoms I should see? Did a recovery because ICQ down load would not un-install, even after re-down load of ICQ. Auto update restarts down load every single time computer is started. Tried restore, reply: no changes made, no joy. Please help!

mike try going to start>settings>control panel>automatic updates click in*turn off will update manually* this might stop the update from launching on startup and at least getyou stable if you ae able to get to MS update site go to product updates and it will tell you if you need the VM update and other things you might want when downloading programs always *save to disk* and create a download folder as a destination. then you can open and install from there and if it fails no harm no foul i ran into some problems downloading ie6 but it always picked up where it left off as posted above disable antivirus, firewalls etc don't use icq, can't be of help there shep
