Download the Belarc Advisor
Free Personal PC Audit

http://www.belarc.com/Home.htmlDownload

After checking your system, it creates a HTML file to read or print.

And try Cpu-z from
http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.htm

Anyone who follows Brant's advice (response #2), will wind up with a 100-500+KB file in C:\windows called hwinfo.dat.

Just what you need. More useless junk files clogging your hard drive.

That file CAN be (safely) deleted from within Windows. And should be.

~~FYI~~
Belarc reports my motherboard as this..
ASUSTeK Computer INC. PEGASUS REV 1.xx
The markings on my motherboard are this..
Asus CUV-NT
No where on the internet but a tiny little website that sells this board have i found any information about it. Not even listed at asus.com.

I have an internal modem that will work with a few different drivers. Belarc gives me different information depending on which modem driver is installed.

My point....
If you have an off the shelf computer you might not get acurate results from these programs.

Using this URL;
http://www.motherboards.org/
you can find the MB mfg sites, info on using the BIOS string etc for any motherboard.

Review the several parts of the web site and use it for other resources.
