I have two computer running WINDOWS ME using ICS with USB port for satellite connection. Network cards on both, with hub connecting them. The host computer has 256 RAM (3 months old). The client computer has 96 RAM (3 yrs). Whenever I start browsing on the client computer, after a while the host computer totally freezes up and I have to reboot to get the connection back. Even though host freezes up the client doesn't. We both run Morpheus when online, thought that might be the problem but it still froze up. As long as I don't browse on the client the host computer is fine. Please help.

The service is broadband satellite. No phone lines.

Nope. ICS really is pretty bad. I got rid of it and bought a router w/NAT. ICS does a few very annoying things besides what you are seeing which I ran into at times but very infrequent.

Mainly, my problems with it besides the one above is: 1) Massive CPU usage every 50-60 seconds. Not good when playing Diablo II.
2). It updates the registry files every minute. Not good for scandisk and defrag programs.

For about $50 on sale (possibly less) do yourself a big favor and get a router, or try another NAT product.

We disconneted teh router and the host computer still freezes up. Obvioiusly the problem IS in his computer not mine. Still no idea what. We have to reboot the host computer every 20 or 30 inutes. Very annoying.

We have the same problem w/ freezing up. Running ICS Win ME on Host and Win 98 on clients. It's another Uncle Billy Gates falicy and teaser to us stuck in the rut windows users. Ans of course MS is no good on the help end of things here neither.
