Hi, My System: PIII, 700mghz, 320Mb, Winme. I've got a relatively small problem but it's annoying me nevertheless. I'm using Creative PlayCenter2 and all my MP3's were associated with PC2 and the icons had the PC2 logo as well, I had a few Windows media files and associated them with the player also and somehow my icons for the MP3's have changed to a ugly generic windows icon, looks like the wordpad icon. I went ahead and associated all MP3 files to the PC2 player again and in the properties window it shows that they will open with PC2 and got it's icon there but they will not change back to the PC2 icons in my music folder. I even deleted the icon cache file to no prevail. How can I get my icons back to how I want them to look like? Thank you all, Tony

If you are comfortable with looking in the Registry, then Run REGEDIT Click on HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and find mp3 in the list On the right it might say mp3file Then scroll down to mp3file ( or whatever it said ) and click on. There should be a setting under mp3file called Default Icon Check the properties on the right hand screen and see what the icon is set as. If not the right program, then you can type in the path to Creative PlayCentre2 by right clicking and modifying. For exactly the right thing to type in, look at another file type that has the icon you want. Good luck...Krystyna
