my icons are gone. the .avi files have its own icon so that you know its an windows media player file. its not there anymore. does anyone know how to get them back?
Is this just an AVI prob? Can you play them or not? Are any other icons affected or just AVI's? Did you install anything lately that may have changed your file associations?
If it's just an AVI prob, try this...right click on any AVI file & then select OPEN WITH/CHOOSE PROGRAM from the popup menu...scroll down until you find Media Player, highlite it & check ALWAYS OPEN WITH THIS PROGRAM (or whatever it says), then click OK...that should restore your AVI's association with Media Player...
