Icons are distorting

OS: windows me
CPU/Ram: ram-256
Comment:

The icons are distorting or fragmenting on my desktop. I have ran the newest version of norton as well as scan disk and the porblem still exsists. Can you help? Thanks

Go to Control Panel and open up Folder Options. Click the "View" tab and put a dot next to "show hidden files and folders".

Now open up windows explorer and navigate to C:\Windows and scroll down till you find:

ShellIconCache

Delete it and restart the machine (windows will regenerate a new one on reboot). You should be ok now.
