My icons are all with a white background. But the text part is against a transparent background. how do i make the icon have a transparent background as well

Usually it's the other way around (?)

If the icon doesn't have a transparent background, your options would be to select one that does, or else employ an icon editor to modify or create one with transparency

I'm not one of those who think Bill Gates is the devil. I simply suspect that if Microsoft ever met up with the devil, it wouldn't need an interpreter.
