After some research on this and other webstes, I have decided that I want to remove BackWeb from my computer. The obvious course would be to use Add/Remove Programs, but after my run-in with Cowabanga (resolved here - thanks!) I am worried that this won't eliminate the unwanted program but only force it into hiding. Any detailed explanation, help, and reassurance would be appreciated. If this is the incorrect forum for this query, I apologise. For the record, on my machine BackWeb appears only in the Add/Remove list and was not picked up by AVG Free, Ad-Aware, or Spybot S&D in Safe Mode or normal mode...but neither was Cowabanga. (I know HP says it's legit. Don't care, want it gone.) |
