I need help with transfer modes

How can i change me transfur modes to PIO only in windows me? I can do it in XP but no clue how to in windows me.

You should be able to go to Control Panel, System, Device Manager, expand the Disk drives line, select the disk drive(s), click Properties, and in drive Properties click Settings tab. There should be a check box for DMA. Un-check it. Do this for all disk drives and CD-RW. Then reboot and check. Should force Windows ME driver back to PIO mode.
