hi there i was just trying to reinstall windows me ,..but after that i found that i lost (modem driver file) and that was the main problem for my computer not to be connected to te net. i lost the sound shurtcut too ,.. which display next too the clock,.. so plz ,..help me to fix this problem :)

Well,for the "sound" thing... Control Panel/Sounds and Multimedia,check "show volume control on the taskbar".

Well Jasmine I had replied to your post which you had sent after this one but reading this one I think I got some more Info and that means you have lost not just your modem driver but also your sound driver too, and if you had them both before and lost it after re-installing then it means that you might have changed the directory/folder of the windows and now I gues you might be having 2 windows folders in you hard disk, so check you Hard disk and see if there are more then one windows folder the second one might have a name like windows.000 if that is so then you will have to delete the old folder and leave the new one and even if you don't have 2 of them then you will have to re-instal the drivers for modem and sound both, if you don't have the drivers tell me the names and I will check if I have them and will send them to you, and if you have them just simply install them, if you don't know how? then submit another post and I will give You detail. :-)
