I have one computer with Windows XP and the other computer with Windows ME. I had a Microsoft MN-500 wireless router going from my main computer the (xp) upstairs to my other computer the (ME). My router died. All the routers I have seen do not work with Windows ME. Do you know of any that do?

Most SOHO Routers are O/S independent AFAIK !

Where do you get the idea from you need a specific O/S ??

I bought a DIR-615 D-Link router at Best Buy and when I got it home, the box said the system requirments were:

"Windows Vista, XP (SP2), 2000 (SP2); Mac OS X 10.4; CD-ROM drive; cable or DSL modem; Internet Explorer 6 or Mozilla Firefox 1.5; network interface card."

So I figured it wouldn't work for Windows ME and took it back.

They WILL work with Windows Me. Just the software WILL NOT work. You don't even need to run the software its a waste of time.

Keyboard not detected. Hit F1 to Continue. BREAKFAST.SYS HALTED Cerial port not Responding!!
