I have a problem with the "Search" feature in the Start menu. It simply doesn't work. It lets me type in the search box, then I press the Search Now button- nothing happens. It's dead. Is there a way to fix it or I'll have to reinstall the ME?
Thanks...

I just experienced the same problem a couple of days ago. I had a big crash and when I booted up again the search feature refused to work, just like the problem you are experiencing. It was a registry problem. Fortunately I have Norton 2001 and was able to restore my system and now everything works great again.

Here is your solution :
If you have problems with the search window not producing any results, or worse yet, not working, but just sitting there, try this.
Go to Control Panel, open Internet Options, click over to Advanced.
Scroll down the list until you arrive at the section marked "Search From The Address Bar". Choose the selection marked "Just Display The Results In The Main Window", click Apply, click Okay, close Control Panel.
Try your search again. This time you should get results. Also, make sure you are pointing to your hard drive, or appropriate media (CDRom, etc.) when searching.
Let me know your results,
