Hello.
I'm trying to install updated drivers for my Radeon 7000 64MB AGP video card. When I run the install I get the error "infsetup has caused an error in kernel32.dll" What do I do... I have a P4 2.4Ghz. 256 RAM, and running win ME... HELP!!!

When I went to the Windows Update site recently , it had a display driver update for my ATI RADEON 32MB SDR Graphics card. After downloading the updated driver , the install failed .At a certain point in the install I was prompted that I needed a certain file to install the update and that I should put the ATI CD in the PC to locate the needed file. That did not work , so I kept hitting the skip button untill the box filled up with blue showing the install complete .However the Windows Update site showed the attempted download & install as failed .I sent ATI support about 3 emails asking them what was the proper driver update for my card, and if they could send me a link to it ? Except fot the automated response , I have yet to recieve any help from ATI. Iam very disappointed in their ignoring a customers ?'s. I not only purchased my graphics card from them I also purchased the ATI TV WONDER USB Edition. You would think they would be more then happy to help a loyal customer. One thing I did read at the ATI web site , is that unless you are having problems with you card , they do not recomend un-needed driver updates. I just want to know which driver is the correct one .When I do a driver search at their site, it list several differant drivers. I certainly dont want to download the wrong one ! I wish you good luck with your prob.

Hey,
I figured it out... Go to these sites, get all the files that are usually missing and put them in the WUTemp/whatever/B...whatever directory... Then install and it works.http://www.ca.pl/sterowniki/ca9000/Drivers/VIDEO/R69x/Atidrive

i've encountered the same problems with the update of ati video card and it did the same thing infsetup in kernell32 and i did what david said and nothing changed , thanks by the way but if you have any ideas again, don't be shy go go go cause i'm begining to loose faith
