I can't install or DL shockwave

I can't download shockwave player for some reason... i go to the site and it freezes when its downloading or i cant install it, i need some type of player because i cant see videos online or pictures sometimes... i tried download.com and it juts brings me to the homepage of shockwave player, i cant download it and install if from anywhere... its messed up

This link is for the Windows version. If you have a MAC, it may be a different download.

I downloaded that and I still get broken images/online movies/video files on sites are still broken with that little sqare thing in the top left hand corner.

It depends what file types they are. If you can give a link and describe where abouts the image is that you can't see, someone who can see it will be able to tell you what file it is.

Try right clicking the area you can't view and select properties. If it says.... xyz.gif you know it's a .gif image and most likely an advert or whatever.

I can't see it either but that because my firewall is blocking pop-ups & stuff.
