Subject: I canīt install my scan on windows me! Help me! |
Comment: Hi. Last week Iīve a big problem with a virus. At last, I had to reformat my first hard disk, so I had to isntall everything again. I upgrade my OS to Windows Me, and everything seems ok; but... When I try to instal my scan (Hp Scanjet 3300C) appears a message as if i had a problem at the BIOS so the USB port canīt be recognized. I went to the HP site and downloaded the w. me drivers for my scan, but when I try to install it appear a message saying: fatal error. I think that all the problem us on the USB port, that can't be recognized Please, can you help me??? I need to install the scan a.s.a.p Thank you

Reply: (edit)I successfully installed a 3300C on ME after getting the new drivers and following the instructions EXACTLY! First, remove all references to the scanner in the registry and uninstall it. Reboot, and when ME finds the scanner, choose not to install it. Then run the setup program from the 3300 cd.Then run the updated driver install program. Worked for me!
