Reboot your computer as well as your printer. Shut the computer off, then shut off the printer and remove the power plug from the printer. Leave it unplugged for about 30 seconds then plug it back in and turn everything on. Launch Works but don't create any borders or headers, or formatting. Just try typing some text and see if that prints.
Also try printing something from Worpad or Notepad. Does that work?
