OK. I just set up a network with a router I bought this past weekend. I networked my built PC with my little bro's HP. Everything was working, even through today. I was doing some troubleshooting with the filesharing on it earlier. After some failure, I stopped messing with it. My little bro turned on his computer and logged on with his password about an hour ago. The little Windows tune played and the hourglass started doing its thing, and then nothing happened. Its 11 PM right now and his PC is on right behind me and its stuck at the desktop screen ( nothing is on the desktop, just the blue HP wallpaper). Its been sitting like that for like 10 minutes. I tried restarting it and I even tried to get into safe mode to try and fix it, and its still hung at the same spot. Can anyone please help me???? I really am in need of serious help. When I last shutdown his PC earlier, everyting was working fine. It had stayed off until I got back and he turned it on and that's when the trouble started. I dont want to reformat it again. Someone please help

Take out his harddrive, put it in your system and backup the files you canīt afford to lose. Put the pc back in your system, boot from cd and install Windows over the existing one. This way you shouldnīt lose any files and if you lose them they are still backupped on your pc. Choose install without formatting. Donīt forget to backup up the inbox and the Outlook adressbook.
