Reply: (edit)Jason. I had the same problem, You can go to ad/remove programes and highlight your IE6 click remove, this gives you the option to repair, tick box and ask to do that. This will probably tell you you have a fault in oleaut32dll this driver needs to be replaced. Here is my post earlier hope this can be of some use to you http://www.computing.net/windowsme/wwwboard/forum/25742.html Post back and let me know....Jim

Reply: (edit)I repaired ie-6 and no error or fault for oleaut32 dll showed up, i don't see a need for a new d/l of this file , i already have visual basic 6 runtime files installed. also, after the repair and re-boot i checked and the problem is still there. now i am lost!!!! any ideas??

Reply: (edit)Here's something else to try. Open your RUN box....start>run... And register these drivers, see if they all register ok. Type exact as below. regsvr32 shdocvw.dll regsvr32 shell32.dll regsvr32 oleaut32.dll regsvr32 actxprxy.dll regsvr32 mshtml.dll regsvr32 urlmon.dll And again get back if no joy, but hopefully this will do it....JIM
