Hi..
I have a ScanJet 5P. It works ok.
My question is: what is the best options in the scanning software ?Im using Photoshop 7.0 and DeskScan 2.9 and I saves the photo in JPG format.
When I scan photos I doesn't think the picture is ok.. There are some "squares" all over the picture and it don't look ok.
I'm scanning in 300 dpi, Millions of colors.
The weird thing is when I print the photo on my DeskJet 890C it is ok. It is only on the screen it looks bad.I have tried viewing the picture on different computers, so it can't be the videocard/driver. I have and Riva TNT with Detonator 3, 6.34.
Any suggestion would be helpful.
Thanks...

Hey I work for HP there are driver updates and scanner software updates for ME and your scanner...
go to hp.com
click on drivers...
type in 5p as your model
go to 5p scanner
it is right there.... if you are in ME you will need the right drivers!

Hi..
I already have the updated drivers.
They didn't change much.Still the "squares" in the image. But only on the screen.
Can it have something to do with how I scan the image. Settings and such ?

I search a driver HP Scanjet 5P for working on Windows me. I have downloaded the new version of driver on www.hp.com but this driver is bad ???
