Hi...Installed an extra stick of 128 sdram ram on my Hp Pavillion 7850...making it 256 ram. Still not pleased and I
decided to go to 512 ram. Running Windows ME. Went to Comp. USA and the tech there sold me one 512 stick of ram. Upon installing, the monitor would not turn on (check signal message on monitor). Monitor is a Viewsonic A70. Do I need two sticks of 256 ram each or is there another problem? (Only hace two memory slots). Can you help this young grandma out eh fellas....thank!

Your HP doesnt support 512 sticks of ram. The tech should have know or atleast checked this.

Your limit is 2 256mb sticks. 7850 ram

Get a refund and order online at crucial.com. Crucial has a tool that lets you find ram to fit your model.
