I have an HP Pavillion 8720 (CPO-Custom Configuration direct from HP) and an HP Officejet r80xi running on WME. I cannot scan anything. The HP PrecisionScan software just hangs at the "Loading HP PrecisionScan" pop up window. Same issue no matter how I launch the PrecisionScan utility (scan button on Officejet or from the path START/PROGRAMS/HPOFFICEJETRSERIES/HPPRECISIONSCAN. This problem began as soon as I purchased the new Pavillion. My previous computer was an HP Vectra running W98, no problems at all. This new Pavillion is running WME. I've tried the latest download drivers from HP (it's still the same driver that supports Win98) no luck! Any suggestions? BTW all the other functions of my OfficeJet work fine.
