got computer for free never used it. at boot up i get HEWLETT PACKARD then black screen. starting from the top intel UNDI PXE-1.0 (build dev) copyright (c) 1997,1998 intel corporation PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable. cannot get to setup or safe mode or anything. this is far as i can get thanks for any help.
... as the pc starts up tap the "Del" key enter the bios navigating using arrow/tab keys, see if it see's the harddrive note the size etc and perhaps change bootup order to which you prefer floppy 1st CDROM 2nd h/drive 3rd if it has one?.
... you could open it up and have a look. How old is it?
