For some reason my restore is disabled. I'm only able to start in safe mode right now because of a Windows Protection Error. The problem is, since I can't log in except for safe mode, everytime I try to reenable restore and reboot it starts in safe mode so restore stays deactivated.

So, how do I reenable restore? Any tips appreciated, thank you.

what is it that you're trying to do...roll back to another restore point? If it's been disabled, I don't think there are any points to roll back to. How about scanreg /restore from the DOS prompt?

You have to remove the check mark from the "disable system restore" in file system properties, then reboot you PC, then open system restore and create a restore point .To do this follow these directions .Right click on My Computer on your desktop click on properties, then the performance tab ! Near the bottom of what the properties there are three boxes ,one says file system ,other says graphics and another says virtual memorey ! Click on the file system box ,another box will open called "file system properties" ,then click on the trouble shooting tab , on that box there will be a list of things you can do to trouble shoot your PC,the last one is disable system restore ,if your system restore utility is disabled there will be a check mark in that box ,remove check mark and reboot .Then after reboot open the sysrem restore utility and create a restore point !
Good Luck Nick
